    2. My 8 years old son has randomly decided, on his own, that he wants to learn Spanish so I ordered him this book to get him started It was actually the second book that I bought him, the first one was a Spanish to English dictionary and WAY too boring to keep his interest This one on the other hand is great It gives common sentences in English and then Spanish with pictures and games to help him remember the words It has several worksheet type pages and is easy to understand The pages feel like c [...]

    3. My kids are fascinated by other languages and are particularly interested in Spanish So, in our spare time I work through Spanish workbooks and worksheets with them to give them some exposure to the language, grammar, cultures, etc We have worked through a couple of other books, such as The Complete Book of Spanish Grades 1 3 , which they were able to work through and enjoy However, their motivation and enjoyment has been ground down to a halt by this incorrectly advertised book While it promote [...]

    4. This is a basic introduction to Spanish My 6 year old is in an immersion school and I was looking for activities for her to do as the homework from school is too easy This is mostly the basics of Spanish vocabulary, grammar, etc with very few activities I was hoping for activities where she could apply what she s learning If you don t have any Spanish knowledge, this is a good introduction and easy to understand, but don t expect much of anything but reading.

This book has the same info that I got in my Spanish 1 text in college, but it presents it in a kid friendly format I had tried using my college text to teach my kids, but they were bored by the adult format dialogues and nothing fun This book has some fun But not much It seems to me that this book is really lacking in activities There s no way a kid is going to learn to learn 27 parts of the body after just one workbook page that only has 5 blanks to fill in, and one suggested activity drawing [...]

    6. This book is not a good learning source it s mostly for kids that have some knowledge of Spanish The activities are not conducive to actual learning just reinforcement.
